Letter to King Hussein I of Jordan
“I benefited greatly from this meeting as I was indeed inspired by your profound analyses on the problem and your commitment in pursuit of a just and lasting settlement of the Middle East conflict.” – Dr. Salim to King Hussein I, August 1, 1980
This letter followed Dr. Salim’s his visit to Jordan, where he met with King Hussein I of Jordan. At the time, the Middle East remained a central issue on the international agenda, particularly following the Camp David Accords and ongoing debates surrounding Palestinian self-determination.
Dr. Salim’s meeting with King Hussein provided an opportunity to exchange views on regional developments and prospects for achieving a just and lasting settlement to the Middle East conflict.
