"It has been quite a historic in the annals of the Organization of African Unity. President Nujoma of Namibia hoisted the Namibian Flag at the OAU Headquarters. It was also historic because this was the first time that the hero of the African people, Nelson Mandela, Deputy President of the African National Congress appeared before and addressed the Summit.
