Statement at the Nyerere Week Conference

"There is a growing recognition among our peoples and leader that we are our own liberators and that the development of the African continent is first and foremost the primary responsibility of Africans. We need to continue to put our own house in order so as to forge a mighty stride towards genuine freedom from political oppression and economic deprivation.
