Statement at the Ninth Session of the Islamic Summit Conference

"I wish to reaffirm the OAU's unequivocal position and continuous support for the right of the Palestinian people, under the leadership of the PLO, to exercise their inalienable national rights, including their right to return to their homeland, self-determination and the establishment of an independent State on their national soil in accordance with the principles of international law and relevant UN resolutions.
