Speech at the State Banquet in Honor of Dr. Salim in China

Nearly three years since President Nyerere paid a State Visit to the country and 15 years after he served as Ambassador to China, Dr. Salim recalls with great fondness his time and relationship with China, this time as Prime Minister of the United Republic of China. His trip to China, on invitation from Prime Minister Zhao Ziyang, came only five months after his appointment as Prime Minister.
