Address to the Advisory Committee on Administrative, Financial and Budgetary Matters

Dr. Salim addresses the Advisory Committee responsible for Administrative, Financial and Budgetary matters. This is his first session and address to the committee since assuming the position of Secretary-General. 

"The Draft Budget and Programme, which will be tabled before you, does not measure to the magnitude of the problems before Africa. The General Secretariat will, on its part, ensure that the programmes in the draft are implemented judiciously. The required discipline will be applied to ensure that the implementaiton of the programmes ties in with the objectives that have been set." - Dr. Salim, January 1, 1990
