As part of a six-nation tour of Asia, Dr. Salim and his wife Amne visited the Philippines where they were hosted by President Ferdinand Marcos and First Lady Imelda Marcos. They were in the Philippines for a three-day official visit. During his visit, Dr. Salim visited Morong, Bataan Refugee camp with the First Lady.
