During a visit to Libya in March 1990, Dr. Salim held a meeting with Libyan President Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. The personal notes capture a discussion between Dr. Salim and Gaddafi which centered on a variety of issues including: Chad-Libyan dispute; Gaddafi's view on the role of the OAU; the struggle against Apartheid; Ethiopia and the Derg Regime and the Sahara question among other topics.
