Jesse Jackson visits Dr. Salim

Dr. Salim's ties with his friends and colleagues from his time as Ambassador to the United Nations in New York were maintained throughout his return back to Tanzania. Reverend Jessie Jackson, the American civil rights leader, paid a courtesy call to Dr. Salim at his home in late August 1986.
