Dr. Salim Appointed Prime Minister of Tanzania

Following the unexpected death of Edward Sokoine on April 12, 1984, President Mwalimu Nyerere appointed Dr. Salim, who was just 42 at the time, as Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania.
